My GWA display won't turn on anymore. What should I do?

If your display won't turn on, the first thing you should do is try a reset. This is something you can easily do yourself, following the instructions below.

These instructions only apply to our Babboe E-bikes with a GWA motor, excluding the Big-E/Dog-E.

Follow the steps below to reset the system.

1.    Take the battery out of its base.
2.    Disconnect the plugs with yellow ring number 3 by turning the 2 steel rings away from each other.
3.    Blow out the plugs and make sure they are clean & dry.
4.    Wait 60 minutes.
5.    Press plug 3 together again with the arrows opposite each other.
6.    Then twist the steel rings together again.
7.    Return the battery to its base.
Make sure replacing the battery is the last thing you do, to prevent a short circuit.

You can disconnect the plugs by turning the two metal rings away from each other and then pulling out the plug. (See yellow arrow)

When you reconnect the plug, the two arrows should be placed exactly opposite each other again (see red circles).

The following instructions only apply to our Babboe Big-E/Dog-E models with a GWA motor.

Follow the steps below to reset the system.

1.    First, remove the battery from the bike.
2.    Then unscrew the display from the bicycle and slide it off the handlebars.
3.    There is a black cap (1) at the bottom of the seat post that can be loosened with 1 screw.
4.    If you have enough room left for the display cable, you can now push it up through the frame tube.
5.    Connector 3 should now be even with the saddle (2).
6.    You can unscrew this quickly with the help of the two metal rings.
7.    Leave this unplugged for half an hour before plugging it back in.
8.    Make sure the arrows on the connector point to each other. (3)
9.    Finally, replace the battery.

The system has now been reset!

When you reconnect the plug, make sure that the two arrows are exactly opposite each other again!
